About Our Business

           Allure Studios is a company that provides high quality painting and
    plaster finishes as well as other commissioned fine art projects. All of our
    paint and plaster colors are hand mixed to match anything you desire. We
    are an insured, limited  liability company. Kathryn Marie Maulis created
    Allure Studios in 2006 after being commissioned by the Ellie Caulkins
    Opera House and Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre, both located in Denver, to
    paint a season of show poster covers as over-sized paintings or wall murals.
     Since then the business has grown to include a mural of a map of the
    Oregon Trail  in the Golden Pioneer Museum; as well as repairing heavily
    damaged privately owned antique gold frames.











           Kathryn Marie (Maulis) Maleva earned a Bachelors Degree  in Fine
    Arts, from the University of Colorado. She continued her education and
    fine tuned her skills at the School of Applied Arts, where mastering all
    aspects of the art of faux finishing is the focus. In depth knowledge of the
    materials and history of decorative painting and plaster gives any artist a
    competitive edge. Working for  five years as a charge scenic artist for  
    Colorado Light Opera and the University of Colorado Opera, before
    starting her own business, gave her the dedication and expertise for large
    scale projects.  Kathryn actively pursues further knowledge of tools and
    techniques of the trade, by attending classes, trade shows, conventions,
    and personal research. She  is a member of the Professional Decorative
    Painters Association (PDPA) and International Decorative Artisans
    League. (IDAL)
